Carob isn’t as rich as chocolate but it’s actually sweeter. When cooking with carob, substitute 1.5 to 2 parts carob powder for every 1 part cocoa powder called for in a recipe. Due to carob powder’s sweetness you may need to decrease the amount of sugar used.

Dairy-Free Hot Carob
2 cups water
1/4 cup NOW Real Food® Organic Coconut Milk Powder
1 1/2 tbsp. NOW Real Food® Carob Powder
1 tbsp. NOW Real Food® Organic Monk Fruit 1:1 Sugar Replacement
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Place all ingredients in small pot on medium heat.
Whisk together until ingredients are combined.
Allow for mixture to reach boil.
Serve warm and enjoy!
